They are coming out again next week to try again to fix both but i'm getting no joy only BUCK PASSING. The only way as I can see to safe guard you food from defrosting is to put a electronic timer on the fridge/freezer to switch it off and then on ONE MINUTE this will switch off the 3 lights and restart the unit if you program this to happen 3 time per 24 hours this should stop the unit from defrosting as it states in the user book that if the door in not open goods will be ok for 12 hours. I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM BUT IT MAY JUST KEEP YOU GOING TILL SOMEONE COMES UP WILL A FIX.

We had the same problem, solution: press and hold the ON button for minimum of 3 seconds. The fridge switches off. Wait 10 seconds and repress and hold the same button. That´s the quick fix.

To make it go away completely switch off fridge, pull out plug, and thoroughly clean the air vents on the back below using compressed air. After this the problem went away permanently. Good practice to airclean every 6 or 7 months.
